DescriptionSince its debut in 1983, the Rado Anatom has stood as a symbol of groundbreaking design and ultimate comfort.
ContentPrecision forged through extreme engineering—the Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph is the result of uncompromising processes and material innovation. Born from pressure, heat, and technical mastery, its construction pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in modern watchmaking. The 43 mm monobloc case is crafted from plasma high tech ceramic, the result of an extreme transformation process where white ceramic is exposed to gases activated at 20,000 degrees Celsius. In this searing environment, its molecular structure is altered, giving rise to a unique metallic finish—achieved without a single particle of metal. A feat of pure material science, paired with a stainless-steel turning bezel and a polished green ceramic insert, engraved with white Super-LumiNova® markers. Topped with a box-shaped sapphire crystal, forged at temperatures over 2,000°C and coated with anti-reflective layers on both sides, the crystal offers exceptional clarity and scratch resistance, only surpassed by diamond in hardness. At its core beats the Calibre R801, a self-winding chronograph movement developed for uncompromising reliability. Engineered with 37 jewels and regulated in five positions, it ensures precise timekeeping under the most demanding conditions. The movement is equipped with an antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring. With a robust 59-hour power reserve, the R801 exemplifies technical mastery and mechanical resilience, embodying the spirit of Swiss engineering and Rado’s continued pursuit of horological excellence. The black dial reflects a pure expression of function and form. Rhodium coloured indexes and hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova®, while three precisely arranged counters display 12-hour, 30-minute, and small seconds functions. A date guichet at 6 o’clock and the iconic rotating anchor on a ruby backplate complete the dial’s mechanical signature. The design is completed by a matt and polished black high-tech ceramic bracelet, secured by a titanium 3-fold clasp for a seamless fit. Water-resistant to 30 bar (300 m), the Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph redefines adventure—uniting Swiss precision with contemporary elegance. The Rado New Original represents a classic Rado look and feel with the very latest in high performance materials. Crafted from polished black high-tech ceramic links and polished stainless steel middle links, the bracelet is meticulously secured by a brushed stainless steel 3-fold clasp. Beneath this distinctive crystal lies a black lacquered dial revealing a striking pattern of irregularly spaced horizontal lines. Rhodium-coltheired applied hands and indexes with coated white Super-LumiNova® create a refined contrast against the dial’s depth. Crowning the dial at 12 o’clock is the iconic moving anchor, complemented by a discreet date window positioned at 6 o’clock. Beating at its heart, and exalted through the sapphire crystal caseback, is the 21-jeTheyls Automatic R766 calibre.
