While its character changes according to the material of the case and the finishing of the dial, it remains a piece with a definite style and adorned with subtle details. A sapphire crystal case back, for example, enables one to admire the oscillating weight of its automatic movement, which may be diamond set, depending on the model. | A small mother-of-pearl dial reveals the central barrel decorated with a rosette motif. This motif is repeated on the oscillating weight, which is visible through a sapphire caseback. The bezel and the strap buckle of this model are adorned with brilliant-cut diamonds, while a jewel decorates the crown. | A pure Breguet product, this model features all of the refinements of a Classique collection watch: a fluted case band, transparent caseback, lugs, a dial available in a “Grand feu” enamel or guilloché finish, and Breguet hands with their characteristic open tips. | Entirely symmetrical, this watch leaves no doubt that it belongs to the Tradition collection. Curved on the vertical plane, it has multiple levels enabling it to fly over the components of the movement, eventually reaching the date section between 3 and 9 o’clock. Its retrograde function enables it to return to 1, at the end of the month. It was none other than A.-L.
