DescriptionSince its debut in 1983, the Rado Anatom has stood as a symbol of groundbreaking design and ultimate comfort.
ContentTo celebrate 40 years of tennis partnership, Rado unveils the Captain Cook x Tennis Limited Edition—an homage to the brand’s first major sponsorship at the 1985 Swiss Open in Gstaad. Limited to 1,985 pieces, it reflects a legacy of precision, performance, and enduring ties to the sport. The 39 mm polished stainless steel case is paired with a polished stainless steel turning bezel and a brushed plasma ceramic insert, engraved with numerals, markers, and a triangle filled with white Super-LumiNova®. Topped with a box-shaped sapphire crystal—crystallised at over 2,000°C and coated with anti-reflective layers on both sides—the surface offers exceptional clarity and scratch resistance. The case is water-resistant to 30 bar (300 metres), underscoring its readiness for high-performance wear. At its core beats the Calibre R763, a self-winding movement developed for uncompromising reliability. Engineered with 25 jewels and regulated in five positions, it ensures precise timekeeping under the most demanding conditions. The movement is equipped with an antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring. With a robust 80-hour power reserve, the R763 exemplifies technical mastery and mechanical resilience, embodying the spirit of Swiss engineering and Rado’s continued pursuit of horological excellence. The ruthenium to white gradient dial reflects a pure expression of refined aesthetics. The hour and minute hands, along with the rhodium-coloured indexes, are coated with white Super-LumiNova® to ensure optimal legibility in low light. The date guichet at 3 o’clock and the iconic rotating anchor on a ruby backplate underscore the dial’s meticulous attention to detail. A ruthenium-coloured flange encircles the dial, punctuated by yellow Super-LumiNova® dots at 3, 6, 8, and 12 o’clock—subtle markers corresponding to 15, 30, 40, and game point in tennis scoring. The second hand features dark yellow Super-LumiNova®, adding a final layer of visibility and functional elegance. The design is completed by a polished and brushed stainless steel rice-grain bracelet, secured by a stainless steel three-fold clasp for a seamless fit. The watch also includes three additional textile NATO-style straps in blue, green, and orange, each fitted with a stainless steel pin buckle. All straps and the bracelet feature the EasyClip system, allowing for quick and tool-free changes. The Rado New Original R12949153 is complemented by a quartz movement, 10 Bar (100 meters) water resistance, Yellow Gold Plated case material, Black dial and Yellow Gold Plated bracelet, a date window at 4 o'clock position, and a chronograph function.Rado introduced the Rado Original, the world's first scratch-resistant time piece after 5 years. Today the Rado Original incorporates its ancestor's bold and ageless appeal as only a true classic can, bearing the distinctive signature of an impressive hard metal surface. Rado is known as the Master of Materials: from high-tech ceramic to sapphire crystal and diamonds to stainless steel, their innovative watches have no boundaries when it comes to design. Feel and discover the Rado difference!Drawing inspiration from their classic designs of the 1960s, the maison have brought to life a series of Rado watches that embody the subtle elegance of that era while incorporating contemporary innovations. The Coupole collection serves as a homage to their early pursuit of precise craftsmanship and functional beauty, resonating with enthusiasts who value timepieces that stand as a testament to tradition and modernity.Since its debut in 1983, the Rado Anatom has stood as a symbol of groundbreaking design and ultimate comfort. Its signature feature is the cylindrical metallised sapphire crystal with bevelled edges on both sides, extending seamlessly into the high-tech ceramic bracelet, creating a smooth, continuous form that merges the case and bracelet into a unified, cohesive shape. Crafted from polished black high-tech ceramic links and polished stainless steel middle links, the bracelet is meticulously secured by a brushed stainless steel 3-fold clasp. Beneath this distinctive crystal lies a black lacquered dial revealing a striking pattern of irregularly spaced horizontal lines. Rhodium-coltheired applied hands and indexes with coated white Super-LumiNova® create a refined contrast against the dial’s depth. Crowning the dial at 12 o’clock is the iconic moving anchor, complemented by a discreet date window positioned at 6 o’clock. Beating at its heart, and exalted through the sapphire crystal caseback, is the 21-jeTheyls Automatic R766 calibre. Finely regulated in five positions and equipped with a Nivachron™ hairspring, this movement delivers a high level of accuracy and a robust 72-htheir poTheyr reserve, underlining Rado's commitment to perfection.Since its debut in 1983, the Rado Anatom has stood as a symbol of groundbreaking design and ultimate comfort.
