DescriptionStylish yet elegant, the modern-retro inspired Chronomat Automatic 36 is the versatile sporty and chic watch for any occasion.
ContentMade to move between the waves and the waterfront. The Superocean Heritage is no ordinary sea watch—it never was. When Breitling first launched it in 1957, it took a different tack from other dive watches of the era. The Ref. 1004 (a sleek time-only piece) and Ref. 807 (the world’s first dedicated dive chronograph) weren’t just about exploring the underwater world—they were about looking good doing it. The spear-and-arrow hands, anodized rotating bezel, and naturally sleek proportions made it a favorite of stylish adventurers who lived for the sea and the scene. Today, that philosophy is still at the core of the Superocean Heritage. It’s got the soul of the 1950s, but designed for today. The latest Superocean Heritage builds on everything that made the original distinctive—and sharpens it. The collection introduces the B31 automatic movement, Breitling’s first exclusive three-hand manufacture caliber. A ceramic-inlayed bezel adds exceptional scratch resistance, while integrated mesh-metal or mesh-rubber bracelets fit snugly against the case, secured with folding clasps for a clean, watertight finish. A discreet date window at six o’clock and the original signature hands—arrow for hours, spear for minutes—ensure legibility and balance, above or below the surface.Made to move between the waves and the waterfront. Today, that philosophy is still at the core of the Superocean Heritage. It’s got the soul of the 1950s, but designed for today. The latest Superocean Heritage builds on everything that made the original distinctive—and sharpens it. The chronograph is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, Breitling’s industry-leading timekeeping movement. A ceramic-inlayed bezel adds exceptional scratch resistance, while integrated mesh-metal or mesh-rubber bracelets fit snugly against the case, secured with folding clasps for a clean, watertight finish. Tone-on-tone subdials, a discreet date window at six o’clock, and the original signature hands—arrow for hours, spear for minutes—ensure legibility and balance, above or below the surface. The 1960s was a decade of experimentation, fun, freedom and energy. Whether cruising on a motorcycle or revving up a sportscar, living life at full speed was the order of the day. Willy Breitling felt this change of pace and set out to design an unconventional chronograph that would capture the verve of era. He called it the Top Time. That spirited tradition continues today with Breitling partnering with some of the coolest names in wheels to create its Top Time designs. A collaboration with British heritage motorcycle brand Triumph, this watch’s highlight is its ice-blue dial. The distinctive shade was precisely color matched to a Triumph Thunderbird 6T from 1951, and a rare, blue-dialed Breitling Top Time Ref. 815 from the 1970s. Collectors are sure to pick up on a few other throwbacks to vintage Breitling that include a retro logo, mushroom chronograph pushers and a “Zorro” dial design. The bowtie motif introduced on Top Time in the 1960s (and nicknamed for the wily swashbuckler’s mask) has been subtly integrated using a metal brushing technique that creates a radiant play of light and texture. The design features a Triumph emblem at 6 o’clock, a speed-measuring tachymeter scale and contrasting “squircle” (not quite square, not quite round) subdials that give the feel of a vintage dashboard gauge. It also comes with a brag-worthy engine under the hood: the exceptional Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01.Stylish yet elegant, the modern-retro inspired Chronomat Automatic 36 is the versatile sporty and chic watch for any occasion. It is available in an array of metal cases, from cool stainless steel, to goes-with-everything bicolor, or even luxurious 18k red gold. Women craving extra sparkle will also be able to opt for diamond-set bezels, indices, and colorful dials. Featuring Breitling’s iconic and comfortable “Rouleaux” bracelet with a butterfly clasp, the Chronomat Automatic 36 is powered by the Breitling Caliber 10, a COSC-certified chronometer.Performance and style for all your water-based pursuits. In the 1960s, the new sport of scuba diving was all the rage. For divers, timing was everything, and Breitling set out to give them the most clear-cut dive watch possible by eliminating any feature that didn’t support their lifesaving needs underwater. This pared-down watch was named the Superocean Slow Motion. What remained were clean lines, chunky luminescent indexes, squared-off hands and a high-contrast dial ring, all aimed at maximum legibility. Practical, yes. But what people really fell in love with was the look. The new Superocean retraces the Slow Motion's celebrated design codes, while adding modern features, like a scratch-proof ceramic-inlayed bezel and brightly colored dials. Broad hands and indexes in a rainbow gradient of luminescent Super-LumiNova® allow for easy readability (and extra fun). The watch is water resistant to 300 m (1,000 ft), as well as being shock-, sand- and saltwater-resistant. The bronze version uses a special alloy that has excellent resistance to corrosion, yet will still develop a subtle patina over time that makes the watch even more unique. The rubber strap comes with a folding clasp that allows for micro-adjustments of up to 15 mm for easy wear over rashies and wetsuits. For safety, the bezel is uni-directional. Best of all, this is no longer strictly a dive watch—surf with it, swim with it, hit the beach bar with it, then wear it out to dinner. The Superocean perfectly balances the nostalgia of its heritage with a fresh new look.Performance and style for all your water-based pursuits. But you don’t need air force credentials to appreciate its bold design, exceptional resilience, and next-level functionality. Pairing performance with sophisticated modern aviation style, the collection’s materials—stainless steel on regular models; ceramic and titanium on Night Mission —are the stuff of aviation design, while dial colors are drawn from military uniform shades. All stainless-steel versions come with a choice of military leather strap with a folding-pin buckle or three-row stainless-steel bracelet with micro-adjustable folding clasp. Ceramic models are paired to a military leather strap with a titanium folding-pin buckle. And whether you can pull off a barrel roll or not, you’ll appreciate everything about the Avenger’s 300 m water resistance, easy-grip functionality, and corrosion-resistant construction.
